JUL 12th|| I got up as if it was a normal school day. It didn’t feel at all like it was the last day of school. The last day at my German school with my friends for ONE year. It felt so unreal. I walked to the bus stop with my cousin who lives just next to me. When we arrived at school, we waited for our friends. Everything was completely normal.
I met my two best friends in front of the school and we walked in the building to our German class. Our teacher just wanted to make sure that everybody was there and then we went downstairs to the schoolyard.
Every year on the last day of school we are outside to give the best students awards. Exchange students also have to go on the stage and then they just tell about where they are going and for how long they will be abroad.
After my best friend and I went down again and returned to our friends, two of my friends started crying and I had to cry too. It was so sad haha but I just realized that I have the best friends! I love you guys❤️
After the awards we went to the media center to get our report cards. I didn’t really pay attention and didn’t even look at it that much. At 10am we could leave school. I said goodbye to some people but I knew that I was going to see my friends at my goodbye party on August 1st. After I said goodbye to everyone twice, one boy in my grade and I walked together to the train station, so that he can show me where it is bc I wasn’t really sure;/
We talked and at the end we had to run because we wanted to take some pictures of us. Then I got on the train and saw my friend. After school I wanted to meet with two other exchange students in Cologne. We met each other on another organization meeting.

I am so happy that we could see each other again before we all spread out and left. It was very stressful but I was the ONLY possible day we all had time and it was soo important for us that we made it work.
We met at the train station in Cologne and went to a restaurant then. We ALWAYS meet in front of Douglas;)) First we had to say goodbye to one and that was really hard because she is going to live in Shanghai for two years after her exchange year in Ireland. After that we went back to the train station to say goodbye to our other friend. Then there were only my one friend and me and we decided to go back to the cuts to do a little bit of shopping.

In the evening we took the train back and it’s so cool that we can take the same!
I’m sorry that I didn’t post this in time but better late than never. I just wanted to let you guys know that I miss you so so much and I’m so glad that we met, it feels like we’ve known each other for a very long time!❤️
